There are two conditions for window fogging
Humidity too high
In the case of certain air humidity, when the window temperature is lower than the dew point temperature, condensation will be formed on the window surface, which is also the phenomenon of front windshield fogging that we often see.
The temperature is too low
When there is a certain temperature difference between the two sides of the window, when the saturated vapor pressure of water on the surface of low temperature is lower than that of the surrounding environment, the water vapor will gather on the surface of the glass, and form fog vapor in the form of tiny water droplets.
If the dew point temperature is higher than zero centigrade, it will form fog; if the dew point temperature is lower than zero centigrade, it will become frosting.
Methods to avoid fogging of windows:
1. Use the air conditioning system in the car
The most common way is to turn on the fan and cooling switch in the car, and the air conditioner will blow to the windshield and quickly "sweep out" the fog. The effect of this move is very direct, but the biggest disadvantage comes with it, that is, the people in the car will feel cold. In fact, in addition to air conditioning refrigeration and demist, the use of hot air can also play a role in mist removal.
The operation method is to stop the car, start the air conditioner, turn the air conditioning temperature adjustment button to the hot air direction, then select the demist stop and dry the fog with hot air. When mist is removed, the air conditioner can be converted to external circulation, allowing fresh air outside to enter the cab. The initial effect of this method is general. When it is opened, the fog inside the glass will even become bigger, because the temperature difference between the inside and outside is bigger, but it can be cured. After driving for a few minutes, the water vapor in the car can be completely dried, and the fog will not be repeated, and the temperature inside the car is more pleasant.
In addition to the front windshield, the side windows will also fog, and the fog on the front side windows will affect the driver's observation of the rearview mirror. Today's cars have a small air outlet which can blow the front row side window separately. If you want to make the side window defogging effect more obvious, it is better to close the two central air outlets, so that both sides of the air outlets can get more air volume to blow away the fog.
2. Open the window to make the cold and hot air convection
If the fog is not big and the outside of the car is not very cold, you can open a gap between the windows on both sides, so that the air inside the car will convection, and the temperature inside the car will gradually approach the temperature outside the car, and the fog will disperse. This is a simple and convenient method when there is no rain and the outside temperature is not very low. The disadvantage is that it is not suitable for high speed running.
3. Use special anti fogging products
These products are sold in auto stores or online, with a price of tens of yuan. Spray and wipe the window evenly before each use, and form a transparent protective film on the glass to prevent the formation of fog. Spray once can prevent fog for ten to half a month, the disadvantage is high cost.
4. Detergent with dry cloth
Take detergent mixed with water (the ratio is 1:6), evenly smear it on the glass inside the car with sponge, and wipe it with a car towel after drying, without leaving any watermark. In general, it can effectively keep no fogging within 20 hours. It is a simple and economical method, but its basic effect is poor.
5. Don't forget the rear windshield heating wire
